Krazy Kids!

One awesome Saturday morning we headed out to the cornmaze south of PA.  It is on the edge of a farmer's field and there just happened to be some bales that the kids had a "hayday" on ( I think they were straw, but oh well)!  Richard and Steve came along with the kids and I.  These are the pics that Steve took.
All on top of the bale!

Uncle Steve joined them!

This was Brydon's fav thing to do!

Here she goes!

What goes up must come down....

And a graceful landing

There was no way Kiera was going anywhere!

Fall 'n' Leaves

While some kids might do the expected "jumping in the leaves", my kids have found out it is much more fun to use them to make a fort.  They gave me a tour showing me the main family room, the bathroom,  and each child's individual bedroom.  For hours they hauled and raked leaves, not only from around our yard, but also from the neighbours and I even caught them once pulling them off the tree themselves.  I didn't know how precious these dear leaves could be, but now I do!
They were very lucky to have uncle Steve as their main raking man!

Kiera enjoying her room in the leaf fort!
After a couple of weeks of playing in the fort, it was time to put the fort in bags!

Last post continued....the whole gang!

This is continued from the last post - and were all taken from Steve's camera.  We were glad to have someone around who was patient enough to get a pic of us all!

The Kostenuk side cousins

This was a fun pic of both of their parents- Candace's mom and dad (Barry and Cynthia Brake) were out visiting from Newfoundland

Our immediate family

This pic included Barry and Cynthia as well as April Fair

These next few were some Steve had taken when they were out fishing- the kids were soooo excited to go fishing.  Bria loved to cast, and reel in her catches but it stopped there. No touching whatsoever!  Brydon loved everything there was about fishing!

Our Days at Dorintosh!

At the end of September/beginning of October we once again took advantage of spending a beautiful weekend up at Dorintosh, SK. which is about 20 min from Meadow Lake.  It is a rare occasion that all of my family would be together, but this was one of them! And to be so lucky, for the 3rd year in a row, to have beautiful fall weather! Right from the cabin there are trails to bike, quad, hike- all of which we enjoyed during the day and ended our evenings inside playing games and music. The only problem was that time didn't stand still and so before you know it, it's time to pack up and go home.  Boooo.....

Ahh...the fresh outdoor air!!

Will somebody PLEASE take me for a ride?!

For some reason this guy was kind of popular- yup Mr. Max!!

 Some special guests ....

Garth was telling us what he had found on his hiking adventure- this guy puts me
to shame with how much exercise he gets!

Hmm....this is was truly a blond moment for us gals- we for the life of us
could not remember how to put the quad in reverse- so we did it the old fashioned way !!!

 Beautiful trails......

Passing the time waiting for the guys to get back

 Lets go canoeing!

    An enjoyable evening

We were lucky to have a fisherman (Steve Shultz) with us and so we were able to enjoy a feast of fish!

Kyaking on the river near the cabin- a beautiful day it was!
Kiera loving to hold Max, and Max, maybe not so much loving it!

Here comes the catch of the day!

Charley, the city dog, meeting country and loving every minute of it!

Fish almost done!
